Eye Contacts

People who wear contacts have a higher risk of getting eye infections or having eye problems. Although contacts are a blessing to people who have eye problems they can be a huge problem. Here are some ways to keep your eyes safe while wearing contacts:

1.) Wash your hands
When you take out or put in your contacts always make sure to wash your hands first. Any little pieces of dirt or bacteria can transfer onto your contact and stay in your eye. Even lotions or perfumes on your hands can irritate your eye.

2.) Keep your case clean
Every 2-3 days clean out your contact case. Little pieces of dust, dirt and hairs can get in there and you don't want that to stick to your contact. Always make sure to replace your contact solution.

3.) Give your eyes a break
My friends tell me all the time how they go for weeks without taking their contacts out. I can not stress enough how bad that is for your eyes. If it does not affect you now it definitely will later. So for your own health and safety take your contacts out every night or at least every few days. Our eyes were not meant to have things in them for that long.

4.) Change your contacts
Some contacts you need to throw away and get new ones every day while others go weeks (not staying in your eyes) before you throw them away. Try not to use them to much longer than they were meant for.
