Mental Health
When we visualize health or getting healthy we usually think of getting our body in shape by exercising or eating well. Our bodies are not the only thing we need to keep healthy. Mental health is as important, if not more important than physical health. You can not have a completely healthy body without a healthy mind.
Here are some tips for having a healthier mind.

Cortisol (stress hormone) weakens the growth of nerve cells and the connections between them so try your best to stay stress-free. When you feel yourself getting worried stop everything and try to relax. Breathe deeply, take a bubble bath, meditate, go have some fun or go for a walk to clear your mind. Think of all the possible solutions to your problems rather than only thinking of why your problems are bad. Always remember to think positively and that life is too short to stress about everything.
Challenge your brain more often to keep it sharp. Try doing normal activities with your non-dominant hand such as picking things up and brushing your teeth. Try using more of your senses throughout the day such as showering or eating while your eyes are closed. Solve challenging puzzles. Learn new languages, games like chess or how to play a musical instrument. Even socializing more can stimulate the brain.
